Intel does not yet Ryzen; rumors are incorrect

During the last two days of tough stories the Internet circulated about possible Intel reactions to the recently launched AMD Ryzen processors. However, both rumors are not based on truth.
Firstly, it was claimed that Intel would have lowered its prices (a lot), but that is purely an action of the American shop Micro Center. Which has reduced the coincidental timing of some processor prices, but no changes are made to the official Intel price. In the past, which, moreover, never actually happened.
The second rumor appeared on SemiAccurate and then visited half the internet. The editor of this infamous site claimed that Intel just before the launch had approached the press with incriminating information about Ryzen. Our editor Koen has done in recent days inquiring at least ten European and a handful of American journalists, and no one has seen an Intel such e-mail.

Incidentally, it may be so fine that Intel somehow will react to the launch of Ryzen. However, there is no official or unofficial reaction visible.
